2009 AASM Conference will be held in Taipei by the Taiwan Society for Sport Management (TASSM). The theme of the conference is “Benefit Assessments for Sport Industry under the Economic Depression Era.” AASM invites individuals to submit a variety of abstract related to sport management or leisure management. 

Submission Guidelines: 

Presentations may be proposed as either:

1.  A 20-minute oral presentation (including 5-minute discussion)

2.  A poster presentation (the size of the board is 90cm x 120cm)

Abstracts submitted to AASM should not be concurrently submitted for consideration to another conference or have been previously presented at another conference, and submitted abstracts should not be of work published prior to April, 2009. The forms of proposed presentation might be changed based on the suggestion of the reviewers.

Abstract Format: 

Abstracts must include the following information and conform to the following requirements: 

1. The Official language of this conference is English;

2. Up to 600 words in English using a 12-point Times New Roman font;

3. Presentation title with a 12-point Times New Roman font; authors and institution(s) name(s) with an 11-point Times New Roman font. The presenter’s name should be highlighted ‘Bold’

4. Abstracts must include background and objectives, methods, results, discussion, and keywords.

5. Abstracts should include text only. Figures and tables are not acceptable.

6. Abstracts selected for presentation will be reprinted and published in the Conference Abstracts as submitted. Some editorial corrections will be made by the Program Coordinator, but there will not be an opportunity for authors to revise their abstract.

7. Authors cannot be added after the abstract submission deadline.

Submission Procedure: 

E-mail abstracts to tassm2000@gmail.com  with the following information:

1. Topic area (i.e., facility management, industrial management, and marketing, or other.); 

2. The type of presentation desired (oral presentation or poster); 

3. The principal author’s e-mail address, postal mailing address, and telephone numbers.

Abstract(s) submission indicates the intent of the presenter(s) to register for and attend the 2009 ASSM conference. The authors of any submissions to the 5^th AASM conference hereby acknowledge and agree that any submission being accepted by AASM and publicized in the conference proceeding shall be adopted in READncl-Remote Electronic Access/Delivery of the National Central Library ("READncl System") and any other database otherwise granted by TASSM. The submissions may be digitally preserved, duplicated, transmitted publicly by Internet, downloaded, and printed by authorized users. In addition, the format of submissions may be changed in order to meet the requirement of READncl System or other database.

Submission Deadline: 

Abstracts MUST be received no later than May 6, 2009. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted or reviewed.

Review Process: 

All abstracts will be subjected to a blind review. Notifications will be emailed within the second week of May, 2009.
